About Brigid

From an early age, I’ve felt a natural pull toward helping others navigate life’s harder moments.
That sense of curiosity and care continues to shape how I show up in my work today. I also
know firsthand how challenging it can be to face what’s not working and to move toward
change. Reaching out for support takes courage—and while the process can be uncomfortable
at times, it can also be deeply freeing.

I’m a licensed therapist with over 18 years of experience, and I bring both clinical depth and
real-life perspective to my work as a spouse and parent. I earned my Master of Social Work
from the University of Denver in 2008 and have been supporting individuals and couples ever
since.

My Approach

My work is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), a model I return to again and again
because of how powerfully it helps people understand themselves with more clarity and
compassion. I view symptoms not as problems to eliminate, but as parts of you that have
developed for good reasons—even if they no longer serve you. Together, we slow things down,
get to know these parts, and create space for lasting change.

I am Level 2 trained in IFS and also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and
Reprocessing), which I integrate when trauma processing is needed. Sessions may include
identifying patterns, working with parts, and building mindfulness and awareness in a way that
feels accessible and grounded.

My style is warm, collaborative, and deeply attuned, while also being thoughtful and direct when
it’s helpful. I aim to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest and supported
enough to do meaningful work.

Working with Couples

I have advanced training in Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO) and genuinely enjoy working
with couples. There’s something meaningful to me about helping partners find their way back to
themselves and each other in a more honest and connected way. My approach is deeply
relational and IFS-informed, helping each partner understand their own internal system while
also shifting the patterns that keep you stuck together.

Rather than focusing only on communication skills, we look underneath the conflict—at the
protective parts, vulnerabilities, and cycles that shape your relationship. This work can help
couples move out of reactivity and into greater connection, understanding, and emotional safety.

I have a particular interest in working with couples where shame, betrayal, and addiction are
part of the dynamic, and I approach this work with a balance of honesty, compassion, and
structure.

Areas of Focus

I work with a range of concerns, including:

  • Anxiety and depression
  • Trauma
  • Addiction (substance and behavioral)
  • Relationship challenges
  • Reproductive mental health, pregnancy, and parenthood
  • Grief and loss
  • Life transitions and stress

Outside the Office

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and children. I was raised in
Colorado and love being outdoors whenever I can.

Let’s Connect

If you’re considering therapy, I’d be glad to connect and see if this feels like a good fit. Finding
the right therapist matters, and I want you to feel comfortable and confident in that choice.
